When choosing a place to live you need to think outside the proverbial box. This fact is particularly important during the trying times in which we find ourselves.
One outsized factor is the economic health and vibrancy of a particular community or region. Many of the most important and impactful influences on you and your family’s well being derive from a strong economic atmosphere: tax base, schools, public services, healthcare, and the like.
Over the past several weeks two announcements may have slipped past unnoticed to those who don’t normally follow the commercial real estate markets.
First, retail behemoth Amazon recently broke ground on a 1.1 million square foot fulfillment center in the Palm Beach Park of Commerce located west of Jupiter. Amazon stated that the project will bring hundreds of full-time jobs to the area. Now that’s a big vote of confidence for our part of South Florida.
Another clue to the future economic hopes of Palm Beach Gardens and surrounds; the iconic DiVosta Towers known for their wire mesh looking pyramids are being sold for an incredible $83 million, or $375 per square foot. The buyer, New York-based Gatsby Enterprises, is investing in the future of high-end real estate in the area. The towers feature Class-A office space intended for high-end service companies such as law firms, family offices, and investment and securities companies, bringing more high-paying jobs to our area.
All of this points to a vibrant future for what we already know is one of the best places to live.
