In anticipation of the upcoming Ryder Cup that will be held Sept 28 - 30 on the Albatros Course of Le Golf National outside of Paris, France the entire golf world is waiting and watching to see if Tiger is a Captains pick to play. Jim Furyck this year's Captain will have difficult choices to make regarding Tiger and Phil Michelson. After his exciting performance at the PGA last Sunday Tiger jumped to the 11th spot on points and Phil is in the 10th spot and has been for some time. He missed the cut in St. Louis. The team consists of eight top point winners and four Captains Picks to round out to 12. Tiger has played on seven Ryder Cup teams and his record is 13-17-3 winning .44% of possible points. Phil has played on 11 straight teams dating back to 1995 amassing a 18-20-7 overall record winning .48% of possible points. Hmmmm, what else do they bring to the table? A veteran presence, spines of steel, and in Tigers case RATINGS,RATINGS RATINGS. This years PGA Championship scored 67% higher ratings then 2017's event when Tiger was not playing due to injury. What do you think? Will the PGA pressure Jim Furyck to pick Tiger?? Can you say "No Brainer" Just my opinion but with Tigers performance at The Open Championship and at the PGA Championship, it is hard to imagine he will be riding in a Golf Cart with a radio when the American team gets to Gay Paree, just sayen!!!
