The Tax Foundation produces its annual "State Business Climate Index" which is a snapshot of state's friendliness to business regarding their tax systems. Florida is ranked #4.
I don't want to pick any fights with the three states that finished ahead of us, but I'm pretty sure it is more desirable to move operations to Florida as opposed to Wyoming, South Dakota or Alaska.
The bottom of the list includes the usual suspects: Connecticut, California, New York, with New Jersey coming in dead last.
So it is not only about the great golf, sublime climate and beautiful beaches, Florida offers a great destination for business owners not just retirees.
